PÚYALOAHÍ is a collective dedicated to the sounds and rhythms of Colombia’s traditional cumbia music of Gaitas and Tambores. Join us for danceable rhythms and songs as you explore different percussion instruments used in cumbia music!

La Borinqueña is an original superhero who appears in graphic novels and in the exhibition on the second floor of CMOM! Her powers are drawn from the history and mysticism of Puerto Rico. Join her creator, Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez, and Teaching Artist Kyung Jeon-Miranda in a hands-on workshop where families will create their own superheroes inspired by social justice issues that matter to them!
