November 11, 2026:1- Day Camp: Campaign for Wildlife! Are you passionate about helping wild animals? Join us at the Prospect Park Zoo for this one day camp to learn about what WCS does to protect wild animals and how you can too. You’ll meet animals up close, explore the zoo, and help create a campaign to educate zoo visitors on what they can do to protect wildlife near and far!
January 18, 2027: 1- Day Camp: Extreme Survivors! How do animals stay warm in the winter? They wear nice fur coats! Different animals will change their bodies to better suit a cold climate. From growing out a winter coat to building up blubber, animals have unique adaptations to fight the winter chill.
March 9, 2027: 1- Day Camp: Animal Art! Join us for a one-day zoo camp where you will explore how animals make and inspire all kinds of art, and create some art of your own. This day is filled with hands-on activities, scientific investigations, and animal encounters.
March 26, 2027: 1- Day Camp: Zoo Quest! Roll the dice and join us for Zoo Quest, a one-day choose-your-own-adventure camp where we will embark on a journey through a mysterious ecosystem guided by a Zoo Clue Master. Using imagination, teamwork, and chance, campers explore habitats, solve wildlife-inspired challenges, and adapt their survival strategies as the story unfolds. Together, we will make decisions that shape the world around us!
May 17, 2027: 1- Day Camp: Discovering Decomposers! Get your hands dirty as we explore the creepy, crawly critters that live in detritus and underground! Dig through common misconceptions about invertebrates through hands-on activities, up-close encounters, and exhibit exploration.
