Amateur Astronomers Association, Inc. was organized in 1927 to promote the study of Astronomy, emphasizing its cultural and inspirational value. We sponsor free lectures by leading researchers, provide economical classes in astronomy to members, plan free solar observing and nighttime sky observing, and offer a school outreach program. Rochester By Water (formerly Corn Hill Navigation) operates two tour vessels, Riverie at Corn Hill Landing in Rochester on the Genesee River and Sam Patch in the Village of Pittsford on the Erie Canal. The cruises along the Erie Canal and the Genesee River provide unique insight into the region’s history, culture and distinctive biodiversity.
