School Break Kids Art Camps - Creatively Wild Art Studio
Creatively Wild Art Studio
Our popular kids art camps burst with joy and allow kiddos to discover, create, and play in a wide range of exciting art media. We work on two projects daily (with time for free drawing) and delve into drawing, painting, mixed media, 3D works, recycled material art, and collage. Kids leave our space with giant smiles and new friends every day! Have a million canvases lying around from your time at camp? Bring them back to us and we’ll reuse them!
Farm Camp at Queens County Farm Museum (Ages 7–12)
Queens County Farm Museum
Farm Camp gives kids an amazing opportunity to explore and learn about nature and our environment through fun, hands-on experiences on a real working farm. Activities include: nature walks; learning about the different types of trees we have on the farm; examining bugs and worms; making rainforest terrariums; planting and harvesting herbs; making tea and learning about drying herbs; creating shadow boxes; making leaf paintings; learning about farm fibers and colonial quilting; pickling vegetables; churning butter; learning about owls and dissecting owl pellets; going on scavenger hunts; making worm houses; and more!
Wild Survivors - Queens Zoo (Grades K-5)
Queens Zoo
During this weeklong exploration, we'll examine how animals live their everyday lives. As humans, we get our food from the grocery store, we wear coats when we get cold, and we live in our homes. How do animals help us do these things? How do animals meet all their needs for survival? Find out through exciting activities with our WCS Educators! Meet some of our animals up close and learn about how they use their adaptations for survival. Full day camp for children only. Campers will explore exhibits as well as do activities both in and out-doors. Caregiver must provide lunch and snack.
